Another snow storm is expected to hit the Louisville area Thursday. A winter stom warning has been posted for the area effective from 11:00am Thursday until 1:00am Friday.
Ryan Sharp with the National Weather Service in Louisville says there are two systems moving through with the first one arriving early Thursday morning.
“We’re looking at possibly up to at most an inch of snow around the morning rush hour. Probably going to stay under an inch, but it’s going to be real close looks like the heavier snow is going to be just to the north of the Louisville metro area,” he said.
Sharp says a heavier burst of snow will begin Thursday afternoon and forecasters are predicting total accumulations of four to six inches by midnight.
As of early Wednesday afternoon, Jefferson County Public Schools officials had made no decision regarding the cancellation or delay of classes on Thursday.
