AAA Estimates Fewer Travelers Over Holiday Weekend

It’s likely fewer Americans will travel during the Labor Day weekend compared to last year. AAA estimates more than 34-million people will leave home this holiday weekend. Spokesperson Roger Boyd says that number is just slightly lower than a year ago."That’s down less than one-percent total over last year, so that’s good, people have become accustomed to gasoline process and have changed their trips accordingly," says Boyd.Boyd says those who choose to take a road trip over the three-day weekend will see higher gas prices, partially because of storm system Gustav in the Caribbean potentially threatening oil refineries on the Gulf Coast.
