PRX.org is a leader in public media technology, content and production. They are the folks who built the Public Radio Player, listed recently as one of the top downloaded iPhone apps of all time. PRX also created The Moth Radio Hour and found the talent behind two new shows; State of the Re:Union and Snap Judgment. PRX is recognized as a center of innovation in public radio: The Mac Arthur Foundation gave them a ‘genius’ award in 2009 for being such an effective non-profit. This project is supported by the Knight News Challenge, an effort by the Knight Foundation to unleash new, creative journalism and engagement models.
