Actors Theatre Apprentices Stage Poetic Investigation of Milliennials

The Actors Theatre of Louisville acting apprentices take the stage tonight and tomorrow evening with a free workshop performance of "Run Like Children," an original play created by the members of the company.Directed by Kate Eminger, "Run Like Children" features seven acting apprentices: Noelia Antweiler, Ethan Dubin, Chalia La Tour, Andy Reinhardt, Madison Welterlet, Christa Wroblewski and Michael Zuccola. The play is the third and final work in a series of public workshop performances of pieces conceived and built by the Actors Theatre apprentice/intern company as a result of workshops led by The Mad Ones, a New York City-based multidisciplinary performance ensemble composed of graduates of the apprentice/intern company who create and stage original productions that investigate cultural memory and nostalgia.According to the release, "Run Like Children" is "a poetic investigation into the apathetic twentysomething generation." Set in the workspace of a technology start-up company, the play explores technology and miscommunication while both critiquing and celebrating "the listless, anonymous sarcasm of Millennials.""Run Like Children" plays tonight at 9 p.m and tomorrow at 10 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Alexander Speer Arts & Commerce Building (315 W. Market St.).
