After Redistricting, Voters Urged to Preview November Ballots

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson is urging voters to check out prospective ballots at a state websitebefore the November elections.

Lawson says voters should go online to see which candidates will appear on their ballots Nov. 6 and to check whether they were placed in a new district.

"Because of redistricting, some people may not recognize the names on their ballot. So if they want to do some research ahead of time before they get to the polls, this would be a good way for them to make sure who would be on their ballot," Lawson said.

Lawson said the online tool will "take the shock" out of seeing new names on ballots.

The website lists all candidates, from federal offices down to municipal races. Congressional and legislative districts have also been redrawn in Kentucky.
