Ample Supply Of Flu Vaccine Available

The Louisville Metro Department of Health and Wellness says there’s not a risk of running out of vaccine as flu season approaches.Flu shots will be offered at various sites in Louisville starting October 1st. Many clinics around the city will offer vaccinations on a walk-in basis.Department of Health and Wellness spokesperson David Langdon says there will be an ample supply of vaccine.“There have been years in the recent past when the vaccine was a little less available either because of problems at vaccine manufacturers and that kind of thing," he says. "But that’s not going to be the case this year.”Medicare Part B and Passport insurance plans will cover the shots. Langdon says no one will be refused a vaccination due to inability to pay.
