Retired Kentucky Department of Agriculture employee Stewart Gritton of Lawrenceburg is running for state Agriculture Commissioner.
The 58-year old Anderson County dairy and tobacco farmer, who dropped by the Secretary of State’s office to file his papers and pay the $500 qualifying fee, is running as a Democrat.
Gritton joins three other Democrats already in the race – Bob Farmer of Louisville, David Williams of Glasgow and B.D. Wilson of Frankfort.
Republicans already running are Representative James Comer of Tompkinsville and Rob Rothenburger of Shelbyville
