Another H1N1 Vaccine Clinic Set For Louisville

The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness will hold another vaccination clinic for the H1N1 virus this Saturday, November 21.Spokesperson Dave Langdon says about three thousand doses of the vaccine will be available for distribution to people at high risk of contracting the H1N1 flu. He says it's an even mix of nasal mist doses and injections."We do want to remind people that the nasal flu mist is just as effective as the injection, and its for people between the ages of two and 49 years old who are not pregnant and who have no underlying health conditions,"he said. The clinic will be held Saturday at the Urban Government Center off Barret Avenue from 10:00am-3:00pm or as long as supplies last.Officials vaccinated more than 19,000 people last week during a two-day clinic outside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
