Another Tea Party Set For Saturday

Across the country Saturday, activists will gather for Tea Party Protests. The events are extensions of the Tax Day Tea Parties held in April of this year. The tea partiers say they're fed up with government spending and they will rally in favor of a laissez faire approach to business and government. Louisville event organizer Wendy Caswell says the group's policy stances are not an endorsement of any political party"Bush started this stuff. It's against all the government corruption, all of their overspending and over-taxation and spending of the taxpayers' dollars without our consent or against the will of the people," she says.Similarly, Caswell says the protest is not aimed solely at the president or Democratic lawmakers. At the last protest, some fringe groups advocated revolution. Event organizer Wendy Caswell says she doesn't endorse extremism."Everybody has their own opinion and I can't really stop anybody from expressing their opinion, but I think the majority of these people are just fed up with the government as a whole. It's not against any one person, it's not against Obama specifically," she says.In Louisville, the protest will be held in Jefferson Square Park. A similar rally will be held in Frankfort.
