AT&T Kentucky To Limit White Pages Distribution

Starting later this year, AT&T Kentucky will end distribution of its White Pages directory to every customer in Jefferson and Oldham counties.Kentucky Public Service Commission spokesperson Andrew Melnykovich says the PSC has granted AT&T permission to being providing the books only to those who request them."They will be publicizing that and how to do that to all the customers. It's not just people who recieve their phone service from AT&T Kentucky, but those who get it for example from the local cable company, because they've been getting the AT&T kentucky white pages as well," he said.Melnykovich says it's part of a growing trend, as more customers use the internet for directory information. AT&T has an online White Pages directory.AT&T will continue to publish and distribute the Yellow Pages directory.
