AT&T Launching New Campaign Against Texting While Driving

by Gabe BullardIndiana officials are encouraging drivers to stop texting behind the wheel. The president of Indiana AT&T joined the state's Attorney General today for the rollout of AT&T's latest campaign against distracted driving. The Attorney General's spokesperson Bryan Corbin says the campaign highlights the last text messages sent by drivers before accidents."They are unrolling or unveiling a series of online and broadcast commercials and public service announcements as well as in-store announcements as I understand it, basically to remind people how inconsequential these text messages can be," he says.Indiana currently prohibits texting while driving for Hoosiers 18 and under. Legislation expanding the ban has passed the Indiana House, but appears unlikely to pass the Senate before the legislature adjourns.
