Austrailians Paul Ambrose and Rebekah Keat have captured the men’s and women’s titles in the Ford Ironman Louisville triathlon held Sunday.

Ambrose finished the event in just under eight hours and 30 minutes. Keat’s time was just over nine hours and 33 minutes.

The competition includes a 2.4 mile swim in the Ohio River, followed by a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon run.

This year’s triathlon included more than 2,500 athletes from all 50 states and 30 countries.
