A Bit of Snow Fell Overnight; JCPS Is Open

Snow showers that began Tuesday night are expected to "taper off" in the Louisville area through mid- and late morning, the National Weather Service said.Jefferson County Public Schools is open and runningon a normal schedule.The Louisville area got one to two inches of snow overnight, and a few spots got three inches, the weather service said. A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Louisville and surrounding areas until 11 a.m. Wednesday.Traffic appeared to move moving wellearly Wednesday on major roadways, but the National Weather Service is urging motorists to use caution in the Louisville area.
