Boil Advisory Lifted for Many Residents

The boil advisory put in place after a massive water main break on the University of Louisville campus has been lifted for a majority of affected residents. It will remain in place in two areas.

  • Taylor Blvd to Crittenden Drive and Winkler to the Watterson
  • Preston Highway to Poplar Level and Shelby at Goss to the Watterson

Louisville Water Company officials are conducting additional tests on water in those areas. The results will be complete Wednesday evening, and the boil advisory will stand until at least then.All Humana offices will be open Wednesday. Downtown offices were closed Tuesday due to poor water pressure and the boil advisory.The U of L Belknap campus was closed Tuesday due to flooding. It is scheduled to be re-opened Wednesday.The cause of the water main break is unknown and could take days to determine.
