Indiana House Democrats are ending their boycott."I will announce that I’ve been informed by Representative Bauer that the Democratic caucus does intend to return this afternoon and conduct business," Republican House Speaker Brian Bosma said Tuesday afternoon. Democrats fled to Urbana, Illinois on February 22nd to protest the Republican legislative agenda, particularly bills dealing with labor and education issues. Bosma said the House would re-convene at 5pm.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
