Cannabis Academy Workshops on Marijuana Business Coming to Kentucky

A company that aims to help budding entrepreneurs learn the marijuana business is bringing its classes to Kentucky. The Comfytree Cannabis Collective anticipates that recreational or medical marijuana will become legal in more states in the coming years. Legislation to allow medical marijuana in Kentucky has been proposed, but isn’t likely to pass this year. But just in case, the company wants to help anyone interested prepare to legally grow and distribute marijuana, or to work in the industry in some way. "We’re helping them write their business plans, helping them develop their advertising systems, as well as helping them figure out the different types of cannabis that they should have in their dispensary," says Comfytree partner George McGill. "So that way, when they submit their application they will be put in a better position to receive their cannabis license."Comfytree is holding workshops in Louisville and Lexington on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
