Cards' BCS Hopes Hinge On Cincy/UConn Game

University of Louisville football players will find out Saturday if they’ll get to play in an upper echelon bowl game. U of L will get an automatic bid to a Bowl Championship Series game, probably the Orange Bowl, if Cincinnati loses Saturday to Connecticut.U of L and Cincinnati are in contention for the Big East Conference title. If Cincinnati wins, coach Charlie Strong’s Cardinals would still be eligible to play in another post-season game."You’re just hoping that it works out for us and then if it doesn’t, then we’ll just see where the picture falls. We’ll have enough fan support where the bowls will be interested in us. It comes down to now who can go sell out and where the money is. How we can make money and what team is going to bring the fan support," Strong said Monday. U of L struggled to a 2-4 start but won five of its six final games to capture at least a share of the Big East Conference title.
