Cards Visit UConn Saturday

The University of Louisville football team will be back in action tomorrow.Coach Steve Kragthorpe's Cardinals are on the road at Connecticut."It's tough place to play, they've got a great atmosphere there, I think their fans do an excellent job, their students do an excellent job. (It's a ) 12:00pm kickoff, so it's much like us going to Kentucky. I like playingday games, it's good to get up, get on the field and get going," Kragthorpe said this week.Louisville is 2-3 after defeating Southern Mississippi last Saturday. Connecticut has a 3-2 record following a close loss at Pittsburgh.Meanwhile, the Kentucky Wildcats hope to snap a three game winning streak Saturday night at Auburn. And it's homecoming Saturday at Indiana University, where the Hoosiers take on Illinois.

Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
