The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will hold its fourth annual meeting and economic summit this week in Louisville.The event is on Tuesday and Wednesday. Business leaders from around the state and region will gather to discuss how to achieve the chamber's goals in public education, energy, health, commerce and efficiency of government in Kentucky.Chamber President David Adkisson will speak about government spending at summit. He says the chamber's discussion is especially important given the state of the economy."Everything that's happening in Washington, everything that's happening at the state level with our budget, the various deficits, the measures that have been taken to fix those deficits while trying not to hurt public education in Kentucky and, of course, the overall economy," he says.The annual meeting will culminate with a keynote speech by columnist George Will.
