Cindy Sheehan Arriving This Week

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan will be in Louisville this week for rallies, discussions and a book signing.Sheehan became a vocal figure in the anti-war movement when her son was killed in Iraq in 2004. Local activist Nancy Jakubiak helped bring Sheehan to Lousiville. Jakubiak says she hopes Sheehan's visit will revive anti-war activism, which she says has quieted since the partial withdrawal of troops from Iraq."And Obama seems intent on sending a lot of troops into Afghanistan and we think not only do the troops need to come home from Iraq, they need to come home from Afghanistan because both of them are a no-win situation," she says.Sheehan will make five appearances in Louisville between Tuesday and Friday.
