City Auditor Retiring

Louisville Metro Internal Auditor Mike Norman is retiring effective May 1, opening a key position in Metro government.Norman says since merger, Metro government has become more accountable and efficient, and he hopes to be remembered for being an independent voice. The Office of Internal Audit is charged with providing independent accounts of various government operations to assure their effectiveness.“My legacy I would hope people would think of unwavering integrity. That I could always tell it to them straight and we just go from there.”Norman has been with the city for 24 years and will take a job with the Louisville Science Center. The mayor will have 45 days to name a successor.
