Conexus Initiative Suggests Improvements For Indiana

by Gabe BullardA report from the Conexus Indiana initiative has been released. Conexus is calling for some public policy changes to give Indiana a boost in logistics and shipping. The report suggests several improvements to interstate, rail, river and air transportation across the state.Conexus Chair of Public Awareness Kerry Stemler says in this region, those improvements would include construction of new bridges over the Ohio River to connect Louisville and its UPS hub to southern Indiana."That particular project would have been identified in this report as an area that needs to be solved and needs to be fixed for the state of Indiana to continue to grow in its opportunities," he says.Conexus will release a second report next year to outline ways for funding the improvements suggested in this year's report. The initiative was formed by executives from companies with an interest in the logistics industry.
