Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway is applauding Wednesday’s Supreme Court decision upholding Kentucky’s method of lethal injection.

He says sends a “clear signal” on the legality of lethal injection, and clears the way for the state to move forward with pending executions.

“We’re in the process of reviewing where our 38 Death row inmates stand…….It will be the responsibility of my office to seek death warrants, to request death warrants from the governor, and then for the governor to issue them according to a timetable that he will set in the order,” Conway said.

Kentucky’s last execution was in 1999.
