by Gabe BullardThe names of hundreds of men and women who owe child support payments will be published in the Courier-Journal this Sunday. The list represents more than six million dollars in unpaid child support. The county attorney's office has published the list since 2005, and says so far, it's helped find 4,900 debtors. The list to be published Sunday includes 560 names. County Attorney Mike O'Connell says that's a bit fewer than last year."We've reduced the list number a bit because we're trying to focus on early intervention because the literature suggests the likelihood that an individual will start paying and keep paying child support increases with early intervention," he says.More names will be listed on the county attorney's website. O'Connell says after previous names were published, his office was flooded with calls from people with information on those listed.
