Crossing Barriers Leads To Arrests

Drivers who do attempt to pass through blocked streets during the flood are subject to arrest.Mayor Jerry Abramson says several streets are closed due to flooding and driving onto blocked streets is illegal."We are arresting people and we have arrested people and we will arrest people who in fact go around those barricades, do not respond to those personnel who are saying, 'Don't go forward, there's water,' and we've done that," he says.Abramson says emergency workers responded to numerous calls of stranded motorists throughout the morning.
