Deadline Approaching for Early Voting in Indiana

Early voting continues across Indiana for next week’s primary election.Hoosiers can vote in advance either in person or by absentee ballot until noon next Monday, the day before the election. Today is the last day to for voters to apply for an absentee ballot to be mailed to them.Floyd County Clerk Linda Moeller says early voting in her office has been light.“We’ve had about 124 since we started in April. We’ve had by mail, 293 received, ballots, but there’s still 146 ballots still out there, waiting to come back to us,” she said.Moeller says she expects early voting to pick up in the days leading up the election, but predicts an election day turnout of only about 25 percent.Indiana election offices will be open Saturday for early voting.(Illustration courtesy of Floyd County, Indiana Government)
