In the Indiana Senate race, the campaign for Democrat Joe Donnelly announced it has raised $900,000 in the second quarter.

The total is an improvement for the Indiana congressman, who faces Republican Richard Mourdock in the general election this fall. Donnelly had been reporting lackluster fundraising totals for a Senate candidate during the primary, which worried state Democrats.

He raised a meager $312,000 during the first quarter.

Donnelly campaign spokeswoman Elizabeth Shapell told WFPL they will be releasing the full report later this week, but declined to comment on the cash on-hand total.

The Mourdock campaign has not announced their second quarter fundraising totals.

UPDATE: The Donnelly campaign confirmed with WFPL that the congressman has $1.3 million in cash on-hand.
