E-On VP Unsure Of Possible Rate Increase Following Storm

An E-On U.S. official says he’s not sure if the power company’s two Kentucky subsidiaries will request rate increases as a result of this week’s ice storm.Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky Utilities have asked the Public Service Commission for permission to recoup from customers the costs of restoring power after Hurricane Ike in September.E-On Vice President of Energy Delivery Chris Hermann says there hasn’t been  discussion yet of a similar request related to this week’s outages.“The rates will be addressed by the public service commission in the normal course of our rate reviews," he says. "There won’t be any immediate charge that comes out of that. It’s a normal process and it is regulation by the Kentucky Public Service commission.”The PSC hasn’t ruled on the previous requests.
