Fake Williams Twitter Lampoons Gambling Woes

A new satirical Twitter account pokes fun at Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams, ridiculing the state Senate president over his personal gambling woes. The spoof account—@notabiggambler—takes several swipes at Williams, and the page bio says: "I take risks, live on the wild side and don't see losing $17,889 in one year as being a big gambler."According to divorce papers recently obtained by the Lexington Herald-Leader, Williams reported over $36,000 in gambling losses from 1999 to 2002.The recent posts depict a faux Williams rejecting calls by the editorial boards of the Herald-Leader and the Courier-Journal that he release his tax records. It is is the second fake Twitter account that lampoons Williams's gubernatorial ticket. Another page makes fun of his running mate, Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer, specifically calling attention to his prominent mustache.
