FEMA Centers Open On Labor Day

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says the two disaster recovery centers set up to help people affected by last month's flash flood will be closed on Sundays, but will remain open the other days of the week until further notice, including Labor Day.FEMA spokesperson Ron Whittington says its not too late for those who had property damaged in the flood to register with the organization."We've had over 10,000 people register and we've had about 65 hundred come through both recovery centers and have gotten about $12 million to people affected by this storm," Whittington said. The disaster recovery centers are at 2911 Taylor Boulevard and at 1701 Muhammad Ali Boulevard.More information is available here.
