FFA Convention Decision Delayed

The National FFA Organization has postponed a decision on whether it will move its convention to Louisville in 2013. Louisville and Indianapolis are the two finalists for the seven-year contract. A decision was expected from the FFA board by Thanksgiving, but they’ve moved the decision to mid-December now.FFA spokesperson Julie Adams says there’s no need to rush."There is just a lot of information that needs to be gathered from the finalist cities, and the board is very cognizant that they want to take the correct amount of time and make sure they don’t rush as decision such as this one," says Adams. An economic-impact study completed a year ago concluded the organization’s annual convention brings about forty-million dollars to the city in which it is held. It was previously held in Louisville from 1999 to 2005, but moved to Indianapolis in 2006.
