Finnigan Festival of Ten-Minute Plays Opens Thursday

The fifth Finnigan Festival of Funky Fresh Fun, an annual festival of new ten-minute plays by local writers, opens Thursday at The Bard's Town.  Ten plays were selected by independent theater company Finnigan Productions from open submissions.Here's a line-up of this year's festival:

  • "Playlist," a coffee shop fantasy by Kate Barry
  • "Stick-Up," a bank robbery split three ways by Zachary Burrell
  • "The Chocolate Girl," an awkward predicament for an ex-hockey star and an heiress by David Clark
  • "Toast," a story of lingering memories by Tad Chitwood
  • "The On-Call Empathy Team," for when you need someone to listen, by Sarah East
  • "Greek Tragedy," a revision of Aristophanes' love life by Andy Epstein
  • "Life Is But a Dream," or is it? by Mitch Fields
  • "Nick and Corey Grave Rob" by Nick Potter and Corey Music
  • "Women Who Love Gay Men" by Finnigan artistic director Brian Walker
  • "Death Hamster!," a mystery by Bryce Woodard

All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. The festival runs through April 14.
