For instance, Jim James—who recently released a solo album "Regions of Light and Sound of God"—performed in 2012 with My Morning Jacket, and the band also curated that year's festival. Flaming Lips, who are set to release the album "The Terror" on April 1, were headliners in 2010. And in 2011, Big Boi was a headliner for Halfway to Forecastle, an abbreviated festival staged after Forecastle took that year off after partnering with AC Entertainment. Black Keys, Avett Brothers and others also played past Forecastles.Louisville performers include The Pass, Freakwater and A Lion Named Roar.Forecastle notes that this is an initial line-up of confirmed performers; more should follow. This will be the second full Forecastle Festival since it joined with the Knoxville-based AC Entertainment, which also produces Bonnaroo.
