Haitian Tabernacle Planning Relief Efforts

The Haitian Tabernacle of Louisville is planning relief efforts for the families and friends of parishioners following Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti.Pastor Frantz Philippe says many parishioners haven't been able to reach loved ones on the island following Tuesday's earthquake, as there is little phone service.Philippe says there are not any immediate plans among his congregation to visit Haiti to help with relief and search for loved ones, since transportation and lodging are hard to find."We don't have electricity there," he says. "We don't have water there. So it's going to be hard to stay. We have to wait day after day until conditions are better to go."A multi-faith prayer service for the earthquake victims will be held tomorrow (Sat) at St Martin de Porres Church on West Broadway in Louisville.
