Happy Birthday, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

For admirers of Victorian literature, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is considered not only the creator of Sherlock Holmes, the most popular literary detective of the 19th and 20th centuries, but also the father of the science fiction novel who revolutionized the literary mystery. But what were Doyle’s literary influences? Was Holmes based on a real person? What is the significance behind that famous address 221b Baker Street? To answer these questions follow Holmes advice, “Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.” Or, join us on Friday as we celebrate the 150th birthday of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
