The Louisville Metro Department of Health and Wellness will give away more than 800 doses of flu vaccine Tuesday.

Spokesperson Dave Langdon says it’s part of a preparedness drill.

“We’re going to be testing out ability to give out medications in the event of an emergency,” Langdon said.

The vaccine will be in the form of nasal spray called FluMist.

Langdon says its available to healthy adults between the ages of 18 and 49 who are not pregnant.

The vaccine will be administered starting at 3:00pm Tuesday at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
