Hiring will begin early next month for about 275 temporary jobs at the Kentucky State Fair.The positions include maintenance and housekeeping staff, admission gate keepers, tour guides and tram drivers.Wages begin at $7.25 an hour.Hiring begins Monday, August 8 and continues through the fair’s ten-day run, which begins on August 18.Application must be made in person.Here are details from the Kentucky State Fair Board:The Kentucky State Fair is hiring approximately 275 temporary workers. Applications will be accepted starting Monday, August 8th.The positions include maintenance staff, grounds, housekeeping, admission gate keepers, tour guides, and tram drivers.Wages start at $7.25 an hour, and vary with position. Temporary positions are available from August 17th through August 28th. The Kentucky State Fair runs Thursday, August 18th through Sunday, August 28th.Hiring will take place on Monday, August 8th, through Friday, August 12th in South Wing C of the Kentucky Exposition Center. It will continue Saturday, August 13th through Sunday, August 28th at the Kentucky State Fair Employment Trailer located near Gate 4 of the Kentucky Exposition Center off Crittenden Drive. Applicants must have proper identification to verify work eligibility, such as a photo ID and a Social Security Card or a passport.
