HIV/AIDS Conference Held in Louisville

An HIV/AIDS conference is underway this week in Louisville.  Health care and social service professionals in Kentucky are meeting in Louisville this week to network and plan ways to better educate the public about HIV and AIDS. Cabinet for Health and Family Services spokesperson Beth Fisher says the summit involves a large cross section of people, from physicians to caregivers to corrections officers.“The focus is to bring everyone together so they can share ideas and network, and also focus on education and outreach," says Fisher. She says research and medical breakthroughs are happening in the area of HIV and AIDS so quickly that many people, especially those without medical training, need updates to learn more about the latest advances.
