Indiana A-G Hears From Hoosiers on Health Care Lawsuit

by Stephanie CrosbyHoosiers are making their voices heard to the Attorney General after his announcement Monday that Indiana would join thirteen other states in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the health care overhaul passed by Congress.A-G spokesperson Bryan Corbin says scores of Hoosiers are sounding off on the decision.“The Indiana Attorney General’s office has received a lot of messages from constituents about this," says Corbin. "A lot of emails, a lot of phone calls, many of them in support of the Attorney General’s action in bringing this legal challenge, some of them against it, some have supported the bill, and that’s okay too, we welcome all the comments.”The lawsuit was filed in federal court in northern Florida. Corbin says Indiana A-G- Greg Zoeller – a Republican - will have an active role in the lawsuit.Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway – a Democrat and candidate for U.S. Senate– says the commonwealth will not join the lawsuit. He says it’s a political stunt and a waste of taxpayer money.
