The Indiana House of Representatives has been adjourned until Monday, after the chamber’s Democrats said they would not end their boycott this week.

Minority Leader Patrick Bauer says he’s not sure if they’ll return to the Statehouse Monday.

Most of the House Democrats fled to Illinois this week to protest the Republican majority’s legislative agenda. The lack of a quorum has prevented the House from conducting any business.

The GOP agreed to drop a contentious right-to-work bill that in part triggered the walkout. But Democrats say they want concessions on other bills, including some other labor and education-related measures.

Republicans say they won’t be bullied into dropping their agenda, and plan to extend legislative deadlines to save important bills once Democrats return.
