Indiana Launches Website to Track Stimulus Money

As money from the federal economic stimulus package starts to trickle to states, Indiana residents will be able to monitor how the money is spent on a new website created by the Governor’s office.  Spokesperson Jane Jankowski says the Governor already has a number of priorities for the money.“We’ve already released two lists of highway transportation projects that the state is pushing ahead – they’re shovel-ready projects – that will use stimulus funds to start their construction probably this spring or summer and be concluded within the next three years," says Jankowski. For now, the website has general information about the stimulus package.  Jankowski says they’ll update it as they get more information.
