Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White will likely find out today if he faces removal from office.

The Indiana Recount Commission meets to consider a complaint filed by the Democratic Party against the Republican office-holder.

It contends that White falsely used his ex-wife’s address on a voter registration form so he could maintain his eligibility for a town council seat in the event he lost the race for Secretary of State.

White also faces charges of voter fraud and perjury in a separate criminal case.

He contends that he spent most nights at his ex-wife’s home to be near his son, but was also on the road campaigning and sometimes stayed at a condo he purchased for him and his future wife.

Democrats want White removed from office and his Democratic opponent in the election, Vop Osili, to be installed as Secretary of State.
