Indiana Test Scores Improve

By Rick HowlettState education officials in Indiana says students' test scores this year are signficantly better than those from 2009.Officials say 74 percent of public school students in grades three through eight passed the English portion of the ISTEP test this year, up from about 70 percent in 2009, while 76 percent passed the math portion, about a five point improvement. There were also gains reported in the science and social studies portions of the exam.In southern Indiana, students in Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties also showed significant gains across the board.
