Kentucky Kingdom opens  at 11 a.m. Saturday—it'll be the first time the public will be inside the amusement park since 2009.The amusement park's updates include a new rollercoaster and a doubling of the water park, Hurricane Bay.Since Six Flags left Louisville, the efforts to to reopen the amusement park on the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center grounds has sufferedits starts and goes.Here's a timeline of events that led to the reopening on Saturday:And Louisville Public Media's Alix Mattingly went to Kentucky Kingdom on Thursday to check out the progress toward Saturday's opening.
