JCPS Bus Drivers Practice for Next Week

Classes don’t begin for another week, but Jefferson County school buses will be out in force two days this week. Bus drivers will be getting familiar with their routes Tuesday and Wednesday. JCPS Transportation Director Rick Caple says its also good practice for other motorists."The public’s going to see us, get used to that their buses are going to be in the way on their way to work," says Caple, "because when school starts, with buses, and parents and teachers, it’s going to take you five to ten minutes longer to get to work because school’s in session."JCPS school buses travel about 86-thousand miles a day. Classes begin Tuesday, August 12.
