JCPS Bus Route Information Posted

The first day of classes for Jefferson County Public Schools students is about three weeks away, and JCPS officials have posted tentative bus route information online.Transportation Services Director Rick Caple says they're trying to reduce ride times for elementary school students affected by the district's new student assignment plan."We spent the summer working on bus route. We do have less elementary students going through out depots, we do have more elementary students on direct runs, trying to target 60 minutes ride time or less with a maximum of 75 for elementary students," Caple said.Caple says about 64-percent of the district's 100,000 students took the bus to school last year. The first day of classes is August 17.
