A team of 12 year olds from Jeffersonville, Indiana opens play tonight in the Little League World Series. The George Rogers Clark All-Stars take on a team from Maryland at 8pm at the tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.Jeffersonville Coach Derek Ellis says the players' climb to the series has required a lot of sacrifice from their families."It's a strain on everybody financially, with vacations through the state tournament, through the region and now going to Williamsport," Ellis said this week. "We're all burning through vacation, we're all struggling, telling our companies that 'I'm not going to be selling anything for the next few weeks, so bear with us. And if you don't believe me just turn on ESPN and that's where I'll be'"Ellis says his players are hoping to repeat the success of Louisville's Valley Sports team, which won the Little League title in 2002.
