Judge To Rule Wednesday In Charlie White Case

A judge says he'll rule tomorrow on Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White's bid to remain in office while he appeals an order removing him from the statewide post.Marion Circuit Court Judge Louis Rosenberg ruled last month that White is ineligible to hold the office because he did not live at the address listed on his voter registration when he entered the Republican primary in 2010.White wants Rosenberg to allow him to remain in office during the appeals process.White faces a separate trial Jan. 30 on criminal charges that the Republican lied about where he lived during the 2010 primary so he could remain on the Fishers Town Council.White maintains his innocence. He defeated Vop Osili in the general election, but Democrats filed a challenge.Osili could assume the office of secretary of state if Rosenberg denies White’s request.(Information for this story came from the Associated Press)
