By Brenna Angel, Kentucky Public Radio The Kentucky Department of Education wants to know what its teachers and principals think about their school’s academics, facilities, and overall working environment. An online questionnaire called the Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning Survey launched today for educators across the Commonwealth.“We have approximately 42,000 public school teachers and about 1,500 principals in the state. And we want all of them to take this survey so we can get a good reliable set of data to look at and hopefully use that in the future to make some changes that will benefit everyone in the public school system,” says department spokeswoman Lisa Gross.She says results of the anonymous survey will not be used to hold schools publicly accountable, but will be used to help improve working conditions. The online survey is available through March 25.
