Kentucky Joins National Smoking Cessation Program

From Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeighKentucky is getting behind a national program that helps smokers quit the habit by teaching them how to live without cigarettes.Gov. Steve Beshear says the state, over the next two years, will commit $230,000 to the EX campaign.“This money comes from Tobacco Settlement dollars," says Behsear. "By partnering with a successful national organization and program, we believe the return on investment we will receive could be huge.”The smoking cessation program is run by a non-profit public health coalition called the National Alliance for Tobacco Cessation.
